Not everyone can claim to have celebrated their 22nd birthday at the Olympic Games, but national 100m champion Leah Bertrand can. The Ohio State University senior marked this extraordinary milestone on the opening day of the Paris Games two days ago.
“It’s exciting. I mean, who wouldn’t want to celebrate their birthday in Paris, much less at the Olympics,” remarks Bertrand, who spoke with us just before heading to France.
